Putting an End to the Paper Trail

A labor accounting solution from Cincinnati Time Systems collects time from Signature, Inc.'s employees across the United States. Signature Worldwide, Inc., an internationally recognized provider of business and industry training solutions, develops training programs for more than 5,000 companies. Signature employs over 250 full-time and part-time employees, many of whom work off-hour schedules out of their homes. When the management team at Signature needed a web based solution to track their time, their payroll provider recommended Cincinnati Time Systems and they delivered.

At Signature tracking part-time hours meant over 100 employees in the field were faxing time sheets that their payroll administrator would manually reenter. Signature's Mark Pennington remembers the cumbersome process, "There were so many lost time sheets, and when you needed to get a hold of someone to verify their hours you typically couldn't because this would be their second job and they would be at their primary job during the day."

Pennington recalls, "Compatibility with our payroll provider was a major plus and the functionality versus the price seemed low compared to other similar products." The system has taken the pressure off the supervisors and allows off-site employees the flexibility to work when they want. It has worked so efficiently that Signature has combined the previous payroll position responsible for compiling timecards with an accounting position saving more time and more money. Pennington could not be happier after three years with Cincinnati Time Systems, "We've never had an issue. The interface is a snap. It requires no maintenance or effort on our part. It's worked out great for us. I never even think about it."
