Q. Does Cincinnati Time Systems have a system that will interface with my payroll software?

A. Cincinnati Time Systems' solutions have interfaces to 100's of payroll software and service providers .  Using an industry specific product?  Custom interfaces are available.

 

Q. If we change our payroll provider/software after a while, can Cincinnati Time Systems provide an interface for my new payroll company?

A. If your new payroll provider is on our list of standard interfaces, then the interface can be changed out easily.  If it is a new interface, we would examine for adding to our standard list.

 

Q. We have less than 50 employees now, but expect to grow by at least 3X in the 12 months.  Does Cincinnati Time Systems have a small solution that I can expand as our needs expand?

A. See the Small and Emerging business section of our web site.  Many of our systems are upwardly compatible, which allows are clients to expand their functionality without risking their employee history.

 

Q. We currently use a card to enter our locked facility.  Can we have our employees use that card to clock in/out with?

A. Our client list includes many organizations that utilize an existing “Access” card for entry, and in most cases, we can utilize the existing media or modify the existing media so that it can be used for both purposes.

 

Q. Does Cincinnati Time Systems have a solution for my employees to Punch IN/Out at their P.C’s.

A. Employees do have various options for clocking in/out at their PC’s.  By completing a Needs Analysis, we can examine of your specific environment and help recommend the best method for your specific requirements.

 

Q. How reliable is Biometric Clock in?  Do you carry such an item?

A. Cincinnati Time Systems is one of the country’s largest independent resellers of the Recognition Systems series of Hand Punch units.  Tests have shown the Biometric technology of the RSI Hand recognition terminals to be 99.9% Accurate.  For a quick review of Recognition systems, view our data collection methods.   A biometric hand scan reader “measures” approximately 80 different dimensions of an employee’s hand.  This “measurement” is compared against a stored image.  When the presentation of the hand matches the image, a punch is recorded. 

 

Q. Are your readers real-time?

A. Cincinnati Time Systems readers collect and hold punches until the software “polls” them.   This protects punches in the event of a power or connection failure between the reader and the database.  The readers can be polled on any frequency and with some software products, through an automated task.

 

Q. If I lose electric, do I lose my punches?

A. No.  The readers have memory that protects the punches.  When the power is restored, the punches can be updated to the database.  A battery back-up can also be included to extend the time that the reader operates without electrical power.

 

Q. My company is large enough that we have people who take FMLA.  Can I track this in the system?

A. Yes.  FMLA can be a “pay-type” and time can be recorded against it in the employee time sheet.  A report can be produced to show the date and the amount of FMLA time taken.

 

Q. Does your system require a dedicated server?

A. No.  The software can co-exist with other applications on a server.  However, system performance is largely determined by the server specifications (memory, operating system, etc.)  With each system, Cincinnati Time Systems will provide recommended System Requirements for acceptable performance.

 

Q. What kinds of security exist?

A. There are varying levels and types of security within each software product

 

Q. My company tracks employee attendance violations with a Point System.  Can the system do this?

A. Yes.  Cincinnati Time Systems products can track “points” associated with a variety of attendance violations – tardy, absent, long meals, early departures, etc.  Point total reports are available and a “roll-off” feature which removes points is included.

 

Q. Our employees work in different departments.  We need to track this.  Can your system do this?

A. Yes.  There are various types of labor tracking – by department, job, customer, work order, etc.  Labor changes can be identified at the reader or in the software.  Labor Distribution reports are provided.

 

Q. We use several temporary employees.  Can they use the system?   And can I produce reports just for them?

A. Yes.  Temporary employees can use the system.  They can be set up in a variety of ways and reports identify their hours.  They can be removed from the payroll interface and terminated or changed to full-time employment at anytime.
